Classic Chicago Pizza

With a thick crust, this classic Chicago pizza can be made by the cake mold at your home!

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Place the yeast, sugar, salt and 450g all-purpose flour in a mixer and mixtogether. Add the warm water, olive oil and mix into a dough.

Step 2
Place on a baking mat and knead the dough for 15 minutes.

Step 3
In a bowl, sprinkle with 15g flour and place the dough inside. Wrap with plastic and let rest for 2 hours or until the dough rises into double its original size. Press the dough with finger and not rising means the fermentation is done.

Step 4
Punch down and knead the dough. Fold the dough and wrap in plastic, rest for 30 minutes until the dough is double the size.

Step 5
Prepare the topping. In a pan, add some oil. Add the onion and sauté until translucent. Add the ground beef, button mushrooms and mix well. Add the pizza sauce, black pepper and cook until the sauce has thickened. Remove from the heat and set aside.

Step 6
Place the dough on the surface area and sprinkle the remaining flour. Use the rolling pin and flat the dough about 1cm thick.

Step 7
Prepare an 8-inch cake mold. Place the dough inside. Add the Mozzarella cheese and roll up the side. Add the topping, sprinklemore cheese.Preheat the oven to 220°C.

Step 8
Bake it for 26 minutes. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and ready to serve.
