According to Chinese medicine, chrysanthemum is good for our liver, eyes and spleen. It also helps in reducing body heat and our blood fat content. Chrysanthemum is known to be beneficial for protecting our eyes and reducing autumn-dryness in the Fall season.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Soak lotus root in water no less than 15 hours, then wash and take off the seed, set aside.

Step 2
Soak white fungus and chrysanthemum in hot water, wash white fungus and tore into small pieces. Wash date and wolfberries, set aside.

Step 3
Bring a pot of water, add white fungus and lotus seeds, and boil with high heat till boiling.

Step 4
Then turn to low heat simmer for another 1 hour, do not stir or remove the cover during this period.

Step 5
Add date, chrysanthemum and crystal sugar, simmer for 10 minutes. Add wolfberries and simmer for 10 minutes more. During this procedure, you need to stir the soup in case the soup become sticky

Step 6
Then turn to low heat simmer for another 1 hour, do not stir or remove the cover during this period.
