Chrysanthemum Honey with Water Chestnut Cake

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Finely dice the water chestnuts.

Step 2
Dissolve the water chestnut flour with 200g water. Sieve and set aside.

Step 3
In a pot, add Chrysanthemum Honey, water chestnut and remaining water. Bring to boil on low heat. Remove from the heat.

Step 4
Slightly whisk the water chestnut mixture.

Step 5
Gently add into the pot while stirring.

Step 6
Cook on low heat again and stir constantly until the moisture has evaporated and mixture becomes translucent sticky cream. Remove from heat and place into the container. Let cool and refrigerate until set. Ready to serve.

Step 7
Tips: 1. You may adjust the amount of water chestnuts added according to your own preference. 2. It would be easier to slice the cake after refrigeration. It may be served in cold or hot after pan-fried.
