Chinese Yam with Osmanthus

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Rinse and peel the fresh Chinese yam. Cut into finger-sized strips. Soak in water with few drops of white vinegar.

Step 2
Bring a pot of water to boil. Add Chinese yam and blanch with rock sugar for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool down in cold water.

Step 3
Melt some rock sugar with water. Add dried osmanthus and mix well. Thicken with corn starch and become osmanthus syrup.

Step 4
Drain the Chinese yam and layer on a plate. Drizzle osmanthus syrup over and ready to serve.
