Chinese Yam and Chestnut Spareribs Soup

Chinese yam is a very healthy ingredients. It also called as "gods of the drug”. It is rich in vitamin which has the effect of whitening the skin, also nourish the spleen which regulates body resistance, plus the chestnuts for efficacy of kidney. This soup is not only making the body warmth at winter, also make the body healthier.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Clean the pork spareribs. Peel and slice the ginger. Peel the Chinese yam and cut into pieces. Rinse the wolfberries and drain.

Step 2
In a pot, add enough water, Chinese cooking wine and blanch the pork spareribs, drain and set aside.

Step 3
In a pot with water, add the garlic, pork spareribs, ginger and bring it to boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low, cover the lid and cook for 1 hour.

Step 4
Add the Chinese yam, chestnut and bring it to boil. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes.

Step 5
Add the wolfberries and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 6
Season with salt and ready to serve.
