Trim the ends from the edamame

Chop the red chilies

Bring a pot of water to a boil, add the star anise, salt, and edamame

Transfer the edamame to a bowl of cold water, then drain dry and set aside

In a mixing bowl, combine all of the seasoning ingredients

Add the Sichuan pepper corns to saute until aromatic, about 30 seconds

Then remove from heat and add to the chili sauce (from step 3.)

Step 9
Pour the chili sauce over the edamame and mix well

Ready to serve
