Chicken and Leek Skewer Bento

Step 1
Rinse, pat the chicken thigh meat dry and dice. Cut the Japanese leek into sections. Mince the garlic and set aside.

Step 2
Marinate the chicken with salt and garlic for 15 minutes.

Step 3
Skewer the chicken and leek.

Step 4
Mix together Japanese soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, Japanese cooking wine and water.

Step 5
In a pan, add some oil on medium heat. Add the skewers and sear until golden brown on both sides.

Step 6
Add in the sauce and coat the skewers with sauce on both sides. Cook until the sauce is thickened. Ready to serve.
