Braised Spareribs with Chinese Long Bean and Potato

Step 1
Bring a pot of water with green onion and ginger to boil. Blanch spareribs and drain.

Step 2
Peel and rinse the potatoes. Chop into pieces.

Step 3
Heat some oil in a pan and melt rock sugar. Add spareribs and sauté until slightly darkened.

Step 4
Reduce to low heat. Add the ingredients accordingly: ginger, Chinese long bean, potato, soy sauce, salt, dried chilies, cinnamon, bay leaves and ground white pepper. Stir for 1 minute.

Step 5
Add water to cover the ingredients. Boil on high heat, reduce to low heat and cook for 1 hour. Ready to serve.
