Braised Duck with Onion and Plum Sauce

Step 1
Slice the ginger and cut the green onion into section

Step 2
Cut the onion into medium size

Step 3
Remove the pit from the plum and slightly mash

Step 4
Clean the duck and cut into pieces

Step 5
Rub the dark soy sauce over the duck evenly

Step 6
In a large pot, add oil and sear the duck until golden brown on the skin and set aside

In the same pot, add some oil and sauté the garlic, ginger and green onion until fragrant, then add the onion and cook until golden brown

Add Chinese cooking wine, ground bean paste and plum, mix well

Step 9
Add the duck, water and rock sugar. Bring it to boil and reduce the heat to medium

Step 10
Cover the lid and cook it for 30-45 minutes until the sauce is thick. The duck is fully cooked
