Braised Chicken with Chestnut and Bamboo

Step 1
Slice the ginger and cut the green onion into section

Step 2
Rinse and cut the chicken into sections and marinade the chicken for 20 minutes

Step 3
In a pan, add oil on the medium heat. Add ginger and sauté until fragrant

Step 4
Then sauté the chicken and cook until golden brown

Step 5
Add the Chinese cooking wine to deglaze the pot

Step 6
Add about 200mL water and the chestnut, cover the lid and to cook for 20-30 minutes

Step 7
Add bamboo shoot and cook for another 8-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked and chestnut is tender

Add green onion to mix well
