Bolognese with Cheese and Egg Over Rice

The Bolognese and Fried Egg Rice is definitely one of men’s favorite dishes - a bowl of hot rice with meaty bolognese sauce, crispy fried egg and melted cheese on top. The rich flavor can easily fill up his stomach.

Step 1
Finely dice the onion and carrot

Step 2
In a pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Sauté the garlic, onion and carrot until fragrant. Add the ground pork, ground beef and cook for 5 minutes

Step 3
Deglaze with red wine and let it cook for 1-2 minutes

Step 4
Add the chopped tomato, tomato paste, chicken broth, bay leaf and bring it to boil

Step 5
Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes. Discard the bay leaf and set aside. Season with cayenne pepper, salt and black pepper

Step 6
In a pan, add some oil and cook the egg sunny side up

Step 7
Pour the bolognese sauce over the rice, cover with the cheese and top with the egg. Ready to serve
