Black Forest Cake

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 180℃. Prepare 2 8” spring form pans. Brush with melted butter and set aside.

Step 2
Combine cake flour, white sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt. Set aside.

Step 3
Mix well the eggs and vanilla seed. Set aside.

Step 4
Mix well the olive oil, sour cream, milk and black coffee. Stir in the powder and egg mixture.

Step 5
Pour into the molds. Shake them slightly to remove gas bubbles. Bake for 20 minutes. Let cool and set aside.

Step 6
Prepare the cream decoration. Sieve the canned black cherry. In a pot, add 70mL juice, pulp, sugar and corn starch. Under medium heat, cook until thickened. Let cool and set aside.

Step 7
Mix some jam with cherry for garnish later.

Step 8
Cut the top of the cake to make it flat. Break the removed cake by fingers.

Step 9
Beat heavy cream and white sugar until stiff peak.

Step 10
Spread the cream onto a slice of cake. Spread the cherry jam on top. Cover with another slice of cake. Decorate the surface with the cream. Coat the sides with the cake flakes. Pour some cherry jam on
