Beef Bourguignon

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Dice the celery and onion. Cut the carrot and beef ribs into pieces. Set aside.

Step 2
Preheat the oven to 200ºC. Bake the bacon for 14 minutes until golden brown andset aside.

Step 3
In a pan, melt half of the butterand sear the beef ribs until golden brown. Set aside.

Step 4
In the same pan, melt the remaining butter. Sauté the garlic, green onion and bay leaves. Add onion, celery, carrot and mushroom. Season with salt and cook until the vegetables are softened.

Step 5
In a pot, add the beef ribs with the juice, red wine, beef broth, thyme, bacon and cook for 40 minutes on medium heat.

Step 6
Add the tomato paste and cook for another 40 minutes.

Step 7
Place the beef, carrot and mushroom on the plate. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and ready to serve.
