Bamboo Shoot Chicken Pocket

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
water chestnuts, bamboo shoots

Step 2
Dried mushrooms, ginger and Chinese celery

Step 3
Diced Chicken, mushrooms, prawns, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts into pea size small cubes

Step 4
Marinade mixture with white pepper, sesame oil, corn starch, salt and sugar for 10minutes

Step 5
Separate egg white and add ½ teaspoon of corn starch and 2 tablespoon of water and mix well

Step 6
In a low heat nonstick pan, add oil and pan fry egg white into thin crepes and let cool

Step 7
Blanch celery in hot water and shred into long strings

Step 8
Place chicken mixture into crepe

Step 9
gather to form a pocket. Secure with celery string

Step 10
Place onto a carrot and steam on high heat for about 10 minutes until chicken is cooked

Step 11
Mix 1 teaspoon of corn starch, chicken powder and 120mL of water and cook until thickened

Step 12
Drizzle over chicken pockets and serve hot
