Balsamic Glazed Chicken and Figs

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Combine vinegar, mustard, 1/2 tbsp olive oil, honey, sage and garlic together in a bowl. Whisk to mix well. Set aside.

Step 2
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels and season the side with skin with salt and black pepper.

Step 3
Heat the remaining olive oil in a frying pan over medium high heat. Add the chicken, skin side down, and cook until the skin is crisp and golden brown, about 6-8 minutes. Adjust the heat of the skin is starting to burn.

Step 4
Turn the chicken thighs over and put figs around them. Carefully pour in the balsamic sauce over the chicken and the figs. Bring to a boil and reduce to low heat. Cook for about 8 minutes with lid on or until the chicken is done.

Step 5
Season with salt and black pepper.

Step 6
Plate up and serve the chicken with the sauce.
