American Banana and Hazelnut Pancake

Making American pancake with cake flour is exceptionally fluffy! It goes well with bananas, hazelnut paste and maple syrup.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Melt the unsalted butter in a double boiler and slice the bananas.

Step 2
Mix together the egg, milk, sugar, salt and vanilla extract.

Step 3
Sieve and mix the cake flour and baking powder. Add egg mixture, unsalted butter and mix well. Set for at least 20 minutes.

Step 4
In a pan, brush a layer of oil with kitchen paper.

Step 5
Ladle the batter, reduce to medium low heat and cook until bubbling. Flip the pancake and sear for 1 minute. Repeat this step until the batter is used up.

Step 6
Spread hazelnut paste on the pancake. Place bananas on top and cover with another piece of pancake. Repeat this step for 5 times.

Step 7
Garnish with bananas and drizzle maple syrup over. Ready to serve.
