Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and rinse the taro.

Step 2
Shred the taro and place into a big mixing bowl, add salt to marinade for 5 minutes (this will also to help remove the moisture).

Step 3
Roughly rinse and drain the shredded taro, add shaoxing wine, oil, five spice powder, white pepper and mix well. Lastly add in the glutinous rice flour to bind the mixture together.

Step 4
Take a handful of shredded taro and twist into a ball shape (don’t wrap too tight, keep it lose in order to cook evenly). Place into the airfryer basket and bake at 180C for 10 minutes. Flip it and bake for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
