Shakshuka

Shakshuka is a classic Turkish dish of eggs poached in a sauce of tomatoes, chili peppers, and onions, often spiced with cumin. With this simple recipe, you can try it at home!

Step 1
Dice the onion and bell pepper. Slice the leek and baguette. Set aside.

Step 2
In a pan, add some olive oil. Sauté the minced garlic and onion until golden brown. Add the bell pepper and cook for a minute. Add the peeled tomatoes, cumin powder, curry powder, cayenne powder, chickenbroth and cook on a medium heat.

Step 3
Season with black pepper and sea salt. Add the eggs one by one, cover the lid and cook until the egg whites turn white. Remove from heat.

Step 4
Sprinkle with coriander leaves and leek. Ready to serve.

Step 5
In another pan, add some olive oil. Toast the baguette until golden brown.

Step 6
Serve with Shakshuka.
