Pork Flower over Tomato Chicken Rice

With the bright red colour from the tomato and the thoughtfully placed pork slices, this dish becomes a beautiful peony blooming on the plate.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Slice the onion and tomato

Step 2
Slice the chicken and marinate with Chinese cooking wine, light soy sauce, corn starch, sugar and white pepper for 10 minutes

Step 3
In a pot, bring the water to boil, add some salt and Chinese cooking wine. Blanch the sliced pork until cook. Drain and set aside

Step 4
In a pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Sauté the chicken until golden brown and set aside

Step 5
In the same pan, sauté the onion until fragrant, add the tomato and cook until soft

Step 6
Add some water, ketchup, sugar and cook until the sugar has dissolved

Step 7
Season with salt and white pepper. Add the chicken back and stir well

Step 8
Pour it over the rice and add the sliced pork on top. Ready to serve.
