Pig Blood Curd with Chinese Chives and Daikon Stew

Pig blood curd is basically solidified pig's blood. It is nourishing as a supplement of minerals. The idea of this dish comes from a famous street snack, which is very popular among local people.

Step 1
Peel and cut the daikon into pieces

Step 2
Cut the Chinese chives into section. Slice the red chili pepper

Step 3
Cut the pig blood curd into cubes and cook in boiling water with Chinese cooking wine for 10 minutes

Step 4
In a pan, add some oil on a medium high heat. Sauté the garlic, red chili pepper and chili sauce until fragrant

Step 5
Add the chicken broth, daikon, light soy sauce, brown sugar and cook for 20 minutes or until the daikon is soft

Step 6
Add the pig blood curd and cook for another 10 minutes

Step 7
Add the dark soy sauce, white pepper, Chinese chives and bring it to boil. Ready to serve.
