Daikon is either stews or braise, have ever think of make it into a meatball type? This daikon ball is suitable for who is vegetarian. It mix with egg, flour and other ingredients. It looks like meatball after deep fried, plus the sweet and sour sauce to gives more appetizing.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Peel and shred the daikon, squeeze out 2/3 of the water. Chop the green onion and cilantro. Save a sprig of cilantro for garnish.

Step 2
In a large bowl, add the daikon, cilantro, green onion. Beat in the egg, flour, five spices, salt and mix together.

Step 3
In a pan, heat up enough oil for frying. Form the daikon mixture into small balls then deep fried until golden brown. Transfer to kitchen paper to soak up the excess grease. Transfer to the plate.

Step 4
Prepare the sauce. In a pot, add water, tomato sauce and bring it to boil.

Step 5
Add sugar until it dissolved. Add the corn starch water to thicken.

Step 6
Pour the sauce over the daikon ball,

Sprinkle with sesame seed, garnish with cilantro and ready to serve.
