Honey Orange Glazed Ham

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1
Cut the onion into pieces

Step 2
Cut the leek and carrot into pieces

Step 3
In a large pot, add the boneless gammon joint, onion, leek, carrot, cinnamon stick, bay leaves and peppercorn. Add water to cover

Step 4
Bring it to boil then reduce to simmer and cook it for 1 hours

Step 5
Remove the ham from the pot. Use a knife and score the skin from the ham, make sure do not cut into the meat

Step 6
Stud the clove in the center of each diamond

Step 7
Prepare the honey glaze. In a pot, combine the raw sugar, honey, orange juice, chicken stock and sushi vinegar

Step 8
Bring it to boil over medium heat, reduce the heat and simmer for 3-4 minutes until it become to a syrup

Step 9
Pour half of the glaze over the ham from the middle on top

Step 10
Roasted for 20 minutes in the oven

Step 11
Pour the rest of the glaze and roasted for another 20-25 minutes until the ham is golden brown. Scoop off the pan juice over the ham for every 10-15 minutes to ensure the glaze coated evenly

Step 12
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15-20 minutes. Carve and serve
