Step 1
Prepare pepper corn water by combining pepper corn and hot water in a small bowl. Then drain the pepper corn after 15 minutes. Set aside.

Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the minced pork and chicken. Next, add the diced bamboo shoot, mushrooms, green onion, and ginger. Then add the seasoning ingredients (salt, sugar, Chinese cooking wine, soy sauce, chicken powder, and oil.)

Step 3
Next, add an egg and corn starch. Then mix well with a pair of chopsticks. With your hands, form medium sized meatballs. Set aside.

Step 4
Next prepare a broth in a mixing bowl. Combine the pepper corn water, soy sauce, and salt. Add in the chicken broth. Mix well and set aside.

Step 5
In a pot, heat up enough oil (around 300ml) to 180 degree Celsius for deep fry. Carefully add the meatballs into the oil. Fry until brown, about 4-5 minutes. Drain completely dry.

Step 6
Place the meat balls into the prepared broth. Ready to steam.

Step 7
Set up a steaming pot and place the meatballs inside to steam for 10 minutes on high heat.

Step 8
Transfer the meatballs into a serving bowl. Pour the broth on top. Ready to serve.
