Step 1
Thick slice the daikon.

Step 2
In a pot of water, add daikon and rice. Bring to boil then cook for 15 minutes. Take out the daikon and set aside.

Step 3
In another pot, add water, Japanese soy sauce, sugar, rice wine and mirin. Bring to boil.

Step 4
Add daikon and stew for 20 minutes. Season with some salt. Ready to serve.
